Emma Stone Hits All the Right Notes In New Trailer For the Musical La La Land With Ryan Gosling

A gorgeous new trailer for the Hollywood musical La La Land has finally landed and it’s what dreams are made of. Backed by Emma Stone’s wispy vocals, Ryan Gosling’s gloomy facial expressions and a picturesque view of LA so hauntingly colorful it’s probably not real, this is definitely one of the movies to look out for.

The story follows aspiring actress and barista Mia (Stone) who meets and falls in love with a broke jazz musician named Sebastian (Gosling). When they start to see some success, however, the dream they worked so hard to achieve may be the very thing that tears them apart. J.K. Simmons, John Legend and Finn Wittrock also star.

The film, which was written and directed by Whiplash’s Damien Chazelle, will head to U.S. theaters for a limited release on Dec. 2.
