Singer Hailey Reinhart paired up with Postmodern Jukebox once again to lend her sultry, gauzy, smoke lounge-hazy style to a song that usually doesn’t get that kind of treatment: Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun.” Only 90s Kids (or you know, anybody else who listens to music) will remember the grungy song from Soundgarden’s Superunknown album. Typically, the song has a very dark, dirty, almost dingy quality to it. Hearing Reinhart’s vocals on a song like that lends it a fabulous edge.

This isn’t the first time Reinhart’s teamed up with PMJ. She previously worked with them to create that stunningly gorgeous cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” back in April. Between that and “Black Hole Sun,” I’m beginning to truly believe that Reinhart can do no wrong.

We’ve also shared some great PMJ hits here as well, including a rad Pokémon theme song cover which features Sara Niemietz.

Anyway, if you needed an excuse to kick back, relax, and sip on a beverage (non-alcoholic obviously because we would never encourage you to drink *cough*), then consider this your excuse. Fire up some PMJ as your background music, and you’re all set to lounge about nice and easy like Sunday morning (or Friday afternoon, as it would seem).
