Okay, okay. Breathe.
It’s only thirty seconds long—doesn’t sound like much, but after the reveal of the international trailer it looks like there’s even more new footage in this TV spot for The Force Awakens!
Let’s just get this out of the way first: there’s twice as many scenes of Rey kicking ass and taking names, and I am here for it. There’s also a brief shot of Han that is giving me major Hoth flashbacks, and hearing that classic music playing over everything is definitely enough to create goosebumps. And we get to hear Lupita Nyong’o doing the voiceover as Maz Kanata!
So, what do you think? Personally, I am all for any trailer that gives our girl Rey a chance to own her opponents—and she’s wielding more than one weapon while she does it!
This movie is definitely giving us more than our fair share of visual treats as we race ever closer to opening day, and it’s wonderful.
