‘She Couldn’t Stand Him’: Erika Kirk Sings Words of Praise About Her Marriage to Charlie Kirk, but Her Pastor Swoops in and Says It Wasn’t ‘Perfect’
Marriage is hard.

A clip circulating on social media, including X (formerly Twitter), shows Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk talking about her late husband, Charlie Kirk, and their “perfect marriage.”
In the clip, Erika Kirk emphasizes that although she and her husband weren’t “perfect beings,” she believes their marriage was “perfect.” She mentions that her “good” marriage was guided by God, and throughout their relationship, they focused on “serving” each other. After Kirk makes this statement, the pastor, before saying he believes Kirk wouldn’t be offended by what he was about to say, remarks that she and her husband had a “remarkable” marriage, though this didn’t mean they didn’t have disagreements. Some people in the comments section of the clip posted by @IGraceAshford, after watching it, believed that the pastor was revealing the true nature of the Kirks’ marriage, which was far from the “happy” picture Erika Kirk was trying to portray.
Erika Kirk says her marriage was perfect, but her pastor slightly disagrees
In the video circulating on X, Erika Kirk says that she loved her late husband, Charlie Kirk. She also stated that he was everything to her and that she was obsessed with him. She emphasized that one of the foundations of their marriage was a “servant heart mentality,” where each person asked the other how they could “serve” each other. Discussing this, she said, “We serve the Lord, and we have that fire at the altar that never burned out. He was such a good man of making sure that he always asked, ‘How can I serve you?’ and I said, ‘How can I serve you?’ and we were just always having that servant heart mentality of like our marriage is so important because it is glorifying God.”
In other news, Candace Owens had previously shared texts of Charlie Kirk going on a date with a woman he was allegedly “in love with.”
Shortly after Kirk said this, the pastor, while addressing Erika Kirk, says, “When you say that you had the perfect marriage, if that means that there was never a disagreement, there was never an issue. No, it was a beautiful marriage because God ordained it from the beginning.”
Charlie Kirk’s suspected shooter allegedly regretted shooting him
An article published by The Guardian on July 10, 2026, reports that Tyler Robinson, the 23-year-old suspect in Charlie Kirk’s killing, allegedly told his roommate after the incident that he wished he hadn’t done it.
According to the source, Lance Twiggs, Robinson’s roommate at the time, told authorities that on September 11, 2025, which was just a day after Kirk was shot and killed, Twiggs saw Robinson pacing quickly around their house and behaving in a way she believed was an attempt to distract himself from something. Twiggs also said that she had asked Robinson if what he said the previous night about Kirk’s killing was true, and he allegedly replied in the affirmative.
