Simon Pegg Wisely Advises Patience in Waiting for New Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailers

Slowed down, your role must be. Hmm. Yes.

Simon Pegg had some choice (but extremely resonant) words to share with fans who are chomping at the bit for more trailers and footage of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. To be completely honest, it’s some wise Yoda-level advice.

In an interview with Yahoo! Movies, Pegg said:

It’s out in four months. People are so desperate to see it—it’s like another trailer is just going to be more footage that’s gonna kind of spoil it if you watch it. I just wish people would hold tight and not worry so much about seeing it so quickly.

Totally fair, we think. We’re all dying of antici… pation, too, but this trend of releasing trailer after trailer after trailer (sometimes with spoilery bits) is getting a bit ridiculous, no? No matter how you feel, if you did want something new to latch on to and endlessly analyze, you don’t have long to wait. Disney’s D23 Expo is rumored to be where a lot of the Star Wars news is going to break. That’s not too much of a stretch considering their light showing at Comic-Con this year.

But really, how surreal is it to say that we’re four months away from a new Star Wars movie? Unbelievable.
