This… Interesting Play Arts Kai Black Widow Figurine Leaves Us Speechless

This... sure is a thing they've made. A-yup.

Play Arts Kai, the folks behind this… interesting Catwoman/Xenomorph/Cyborg Raiden figurine, just unveiled a new Black Widow figure they had been working on for Marvel. Judging by their past work linked above, it’s everything you could possibly expect. And more. We guess.

So there’s a lot we could say about this Black Widow figurine. Then again, there’s a lot we could not say about it. For example:

  • This figurine is totally not over-sexualized at all.
  • That armor looks totally comfortable to fight in.
  • It’s a good thing her chestplate has boobsocks.
  • She sure is wearing some… killer boots.

We’re going to go ahead and not say those things. Because we don’t believe any of them. And one of them is a pun. Instead we’ll focus on the positive things:

  • There’s no boob/gratuitous skin windows on her battle armor.
  • Yeah, that’s about it.

Don’t get me wrong. The little technical details are neat, as are the rad little bits you can put onto her gauntlets to simulate shooting, and yes, her hair is pretty, but… what kind of fabric sticks to the body like that—sorry. We really tried to focus on the good things. But come onReally?!
