New Supergirl Trailer From CBS as Fans Start Getting Super-Excited

We are powerful.

CBS recently released this new Supergirl trailer, which pretty much focuses on Kara Zor-El (played by Melissa Benoist) saying things in a badass fashion, or alternately being squeeful. We love both sides of her in equal measure. CBS also shared a really awesome experience given to 400 lucky moms and their daughters!

As reported by Comic Book Resources, CBS invited 400 moms and daughters to a special screening of the Supergirl pilot, and when it was over, they got to meet the Girl of Steel herself as Melissa Benoist showed up to interact with the crowd. In the video, you’ll see just how meaningful a female superhero is on the faces of all those girls who were thrilled to meet Benoist while wearing the red capes and Supergirl tattoos they were given. If there’s any worry as to whether Supergirl can succeed on a major network, I think this clip should ease people’s worries. Supergirl seems like a family show—one that mothers and daughters, as well as fathers and sons, can watch together.

October can’t get here fast enough!
