Morena Baccarin Confirmed She’s Playing Copycat in Deadpool!

Because the DCU just wasn't enough for her.

It seems all big announcements are made via Twitter these days! The upcoming Deadpool movie has already started filming, and Morena (you’ll always be Inara to us) Baccarin tweeted this photo from the set, announcing herself as a specific member of the cast:

As you see, the back of her director’s chair says “Vanessa,” which probably means that she’ll be playing Vanessa Carlysle, aka Copycat, a mutant shape-shifter who falls in love with Deadpool, but becomes a mercenary herself when he breaks up with her. As of now, her IMDb page hasn’t been updated yet, dang-it. She joins star Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool, natch), T.J. Miller (as Weasel), and Gina Carano (as Angel Dust). Well, the DCU has her on Gotham – I guess it’s only right that she take the Marvel Universe out for a spin, too.

Deadpool is scheduled to open in Feburary 2016.
