Sorry, World. Katee Sackhoff Admits She Hasn’t Had Any Meetings With Marvel Yet.

Nothin' but the rain.

It appears that the collective wishful thinking, Twittering, and amateur witchcraft (*quickly hides scented candles*) of the Internet hasn’t gotten nerd icon Katee Sackhoff a meeting with Marvel, despite consistent (but always debunked) rumors that she’ll play Captain Marvel. Frakkers.

Said Sackhoff to Vulture:

“As of this moment, I have not sat down with anybody from Marvel for any role specifically. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that something with Marvel is completely off the table for the future.”

But… but any role specifically. That means she could’ve met with Marvel and talked about roles generally, right? Like “You tell us what role you want to do, and you can have it. Captain Marvel? Fiiiiine. Lady Thor? Absolutely! You’re Starbuck!” Please?

puppy dog eyes

Sackhoff reiterated that she would take a superhero role if Marvel asked (oh, we know), saying “Any time I can play a strong female that’s a role model, it’s a good day.” She also gave up a tidbit of information on that mystery project that got the latest rounds of Captain Marvel rumors going, hinting that it’s “not necessarily a movie and not necessarily a superhero that you would think of.”

Marvel *poke* Marvel *poke* Marvel *poke*.
