We’re still reeling from word that talks for Hulu to bring back Community fell apart, but there’s a silver lining! It looks like Hulu also has a Judd Apatow pilot in the works starring none other than Gillian Jacobs! Don’t Britta this one for us, Hulu.

The show is tentatively titled Love, and it’s already got a pilot script by by Judd Apatow, Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Lesley Arfin, and Paul Rust (Super Fun Night). It’s not a done deal yet, but it looks way closer to one than the Community talks. Vulture broke the news and has this to say about the show’s content:
A person familiar with the pilot script describes Love as a character-based comedy revolving around relationships, romantic and otherwise, with one (very messed-up) couple in particular at the center. And, because this is Judd Apatow, the pilot script has a couple of bad words and talks a little bit about s-e-x. Should Hulu close the deal for Love, it would be a big get for the new content team at the streaming service.
Jacobs was great as Britta on Community (and still is, somewhere in a brighter timeline…), but she often got tasked with being the buzzkill (sometimes literally). It’ll be nice to see her get to take on a starring role in a new comedy.
