Let's put aside the urge to moan and whine about another foreign film getting an American remake, and just accept the fact that Spike Lee and Josh Brolin teaming up for something is pretty great. Lee's remake of Oldboy hits theaters in the States on October 25th. In the meantime, take a look at the first poster from the film showing Brolin in a box after the jump.

Old Boy

The original Oldboy is great. It tells the story of a man mysteriously imprisoned for years. On his release, he begins seeking revenge on his captors. That’s hard when you don’t know anything about them.

You can stream the original 2003 film by director Chan-wook Park right now on Netflix, but since it’s easier to spend millions of dollars remaking a foreign film than it is to get American audiences to watch one, we’re getting a remake.

A single image can only convey so much about the film, but the trailer is expected to hit the Internet on Wednesday, so we should have a better idea of whether to be excited or horrified then.
