I thought the trailer for Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was amazing, and in fairness, I was right. But as incredible a piece of Internet video as it is, it doesn’t even hold a candle to this live action promo for the game that dropped yesterday. I don’t even know what to tell you folks about this five minutes of sheer brilliance, except that it has literally everything you would ever want out of a movie. Machine guns. Kicking. Cyborg katana fights. Nuclear expolosions. Androids that bleed neon. Look, you know what, just watch the thing. You will not regret it.
The good guys even wear blue while the bad guys glow red for ease of identification! How convenient is that?
I still don’t know how sold this is getting me on playing the game, which will release on May 1 after being leaked earlier this month, but I can say one thing after watching this short — I would be on hand opening night for a Blood Dragon movie. You put up the Kickstarter, Ubisoft, and just let the rest of us throw money into it.
