  1. Geoffrey Chaucer Just Covered The Mountain Goats on Twitter

This sounds like something someone would shout out during Whose Line

First, a bit of context. Someone tweets as dead 14th century author Geoffrey Chaucer under the handle @LeVostreGC. Last night, "Chaucer" tweeted out a Middle English cover version of "The Best Ever Death Metal Band Out of Denton" by The Mountain Goats, and that's frankly amazing.

On December 26th, an apparently enthusiastic fan of the Mountain Goats posted a petition seeking that the band's sole permanent member, John Darnielle, be recognized as the United States Poet Laureate. Here's hoping that one fan's dream can become a reality, assuming he can get the required 25,000 signatures by the end of January to get a review.
