Stephen Colbert Sings “Friday” On Fallon [Video]

This is the only way you will see this song performed on The Mary Sue — sung by Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, The Roots, and Taylor Hicks. Throughout the week, Fallon has been threatening his BFFSM (Best Friend For Six Months) Colbert with the task of singing this song ever since Colbert donated $26,000 of Fallon’s money to DonorsChoose.org. Fallon gave his audience the chance to come up with the money, and if they did, he promised that Colbert would come sing Rebecca Black‘s “Friday” on his show. And it worked! Turns out people are very charitable when they want to see someone do something humiliating.

The beginning has an Annie Lennox feel to it, don’t you think?

    This was pretty amazing. I saw James Urbaniak’s interpretive reading of it with Wil Wheaton and Paul & Storm, but this one was awesome too.
