That Time of Year: Cartoon Cookie Cutters

Idly, this weekend, I did a search on Etsy for “cookie cutters,” thinking that there must be some crazy stuff out there… and I was rewarded with WarpZone, a shop that not only has My Little Pony, Pokémon, and other video game themed cookie cutters on hand, but will also 3D print you a washing machine-safe cookie cutter of any design you like. But what you really want to see is what they have on hand, I know, and what the cookies actually look like. Come take a look!

If you are using fancy cutters like these (least with fine details) – remember to use the right dough. Read a post recently where someone complained that their star wars cutters didn’t work. Consensus was that you basically need to stick to a dough such as shortbread that doesn’t significantly rise/expand during baking.

Old post, I know, but I just ran into it today. I’ve found Sprintz cookie dough excellent for detail cookies, it hardly rises at all. And I like it’s flavor a lot more than other cookie doughs.
