Violinist Lindsey Stirling Plays The Skyrim Theme In Her Newest Video

I haven’t even played Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim but I can’t get enough of this video. Probably because I can’t get enough of Lindsey Stirling. She’s the violinist who brought us the Zelda theme as well as a truly epic music video shot in New Zealand, featuring the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. Peter Hollens joins Stirling this time around to provide the necessary vocals (yes, all those voices are his). And just for the record, Stirling will sword fight you with her bow and win. Don’t even try.

    Going to say she looks ridiculously hot in this one, love the messy look. But I really wish she’d stop the derpy prancing around. Especially for such an epic song, the whole…pixie-like hyperactiveness just doesn’t fit. She looks really lame and awkward and it’s kind of embarrassing to watch. I really wish she’d tone it down a few notches.

    The problem with Lindseystomp is, well, it’s her. She can’t play -LIVE- (did anyone watch her on America’s Got Talent? that was painful). There are much better internet musicians on YouTube, who play better adaptations of video game music, and will not cause motion sickness in their viewers with all that spazzing around.

    I have no problem with people doing something they love. I think it’s unfair that she gets more coverage than people who are honestly better at their craft than she is. Pretty much the only thing she has going for her is the fact that her videos are slightly better produced and she wears costumes.

    She shouldn’t need to dress it up with lots of prancing about while cosplaying to be interesting. The music should stand on its own.

    Actually, Lindsey CAN play live. I’ve seen her in NYC, and there’s multiple  youtube videos where she does almost perfectly WHILE dancing around. 

    She has improved alot since AGT and the nerves also got the best of her. She is right in her element now live…you guys really aren’t giving her enough credit & it makes me sad. ):

    hmmm.. dunnoh, if she is REALLY playing and dancing this LIVE, she is definitely a phenomenon… fantastic, but… the only 3 vids I saw, I noticed her hand allways at the same spot of the violin… no changing position as the pitch gets higher… just wondering.
