Maybe I’m being ridiculously oversensitive, but that seemed a tad cold-blooded. “Oh, well, as long as bishie Hiddleston’s ok, we can all calm down at the news that someone suffered a “horrible injury” on the set.” I mean, I know what you mean now, but I was a bit taken aback when I first read it.

I thought it was funny. Not the injury, but the acknowledgement of the insane levels of adoration thrown at Hiddleston.

That article was remarkably cold-blooded, considering you’re writing about a real human being who apparently was almost paralyzed, at least in her own estimation. I would have personally preferred some actual concern, instead of cavalier jokes about the character with some vague sympathy tacked on at the end.

I sincerely hope that Jaime Alexander pulls through whatever happened to her. Acting isn’t like a regular 9-5 job where you can take time off with sick pay and come back like everything is just fine.

And also, dude…? That was not a cool headliner for this article. Yes, Tom Hiddleston gets a lot of fan adoration, but seriously, that was in extremely poor, poor taste. She even said she could have been paralyzed.

Would you have cracked a joke about Christopher Reeve being exposed to kryptonite when he was paralyzed while horse riding?

“The most badass part of Thor”? Did we watch the same movie? I called out at several different moments how completely wooden I thought Sif was when I (finally) got around to seeing the flick.

(Er, but just to clarify since it’s coming up in the conversation, of course I hope she gets better ASAP. Injuries suck.)

Take out that ‘Hiddleston’ thing from the header, sheesh. I’m sure he’s a lovely person but that makes it sound like ‘haha this other peasant got hurt instead so that’s okay!’

I thoroughly agree that the title was in bad taste. What I see when I read the title is “Hey, someone got hurt but it doesn’t matter because it wasn’t Hiddleston.” Have some more courtesy. Jaimie is a human being as well as Tom and just as a good actor as he is.

i hope people don’t go around hating tom hiddleston because of a minor misunderstandment i am a huge fan of all the cast especially jaimie and i am glad she is doing okay and sure the artticle could have been worded differently but its not the actors fault okay people get off ur high horse if anyone wants to hate blame the person who wrote the headline i am sure it was done to add humor and not meant to insult or degrade anyone but if ur still going to hate, hate the messenger

Glad she’s okay. A lot of people underestimate just how dangerous horseback riding can actually be, and that’s what I assume she got injured doing.

Also, the title is really callous, please fix it. Yes, we all love Hiddleston, but just because it WASN’T him doesn’t mean we don’t care about the other actors.

Yes, there actually have been reports from her publicist Craig Schneider about how she received the injury. She slipped in the rain and most likely injured her back or neck. That’s very serious, very scary, and there is no need to poke fun of Hiddleston fans at the expense of her injury. I know this was trying to be light hearted but there are some things that seem in bad taste to joke about.

Jaimie is awesome. I hope for her a speedy recovery.

This is probably one of the most callous articles I’ve ever read. It’s bad enough that you make Tom Hiddleston’s fans seem like they couldn’t care less about other actors in the movie getting hurt, you even make fun out of Jaimie Alexander’s injury, which could have permanently crippled her. And then you slap on a bit of unconvincing sympathy at the end. I’m not going to tell you to just change the title. Rewrite the whole article. If I were your editor, this article should never have been posted at all.

It couldn’t be the hammer, since Sif has proven herself worthy.
