Have Some Greek Mythology with Your Superheroes

As a nerd whose very first foray into nerdery was an elementary school obsession with Greek mythology, Nicholas Hyde‘s Greek-inspired superhero art is like ambrosia for my eyes.

(Yes, it makes them immortal. Clearly that’s what I meant.)

Hit the jump for Greek-style Spider-Man and Thor.

I love the Batman and Spider-man ones, but it just seems… WRONG to have Thor and Loki done in Greek style.

But then, most mythologies are copied from other mythologies, so it’s not too bad to have them together. At least, that’s my thought.

Hmmm… you have a point. Though I didn’t interpret the other dude in Thor’s as Loki; I assumed he was just a random evildoer.

If there’s going to be a Greek mythology version of Loki, he should at least be Hermes.

    What? No Wonder Woman?

That’s a great site, thanks for sharing! Love the Greek god/undergrad theme.

Shut up and take my money. Does it come in pottery? I’d proudly display this in my house.

Wow, I completely missed both of those things.
