What's with the name?

Allow us to explain.

where does he get those wonderful toys

One of Lego’s New Minifigs is a “Forest Maiden.” Sure, Lego. Sure.

Good job on that, uh, “Forest Maiden”‘s hair, Lego. It’s actually really impressive given it’s made out of molded plastic.

A few of our other favorites—Roller Derby Girl, albino Cylon Battle Mech, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Mr. Good and Evil, and a Marilyn Monroe Hollywood Starlet minifig holding a mini-minifig-sized Oscar (be still my beating heart)—are behind the jump.

They have female figures that are shaped just like regular Lego! That’s a win in and of itself!

Personally, I’m more weirded out by the Fortune Teller having two recognisable major arcana Tarot cards, the Sun and the Tower…

I was thinking that ‘Forest Maiden’ looks like Leia when she’s found hanging with the Ewoks.

Someday, people will finally figure out that full plate armor was black(ened) not silver.

Maybe it’s just me but that fortune teller looks a bit like Esmerelda from Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame….

They’ve had those for a long time! I remember the first time they released a Princess lego with a castle I bought – she had lipstick! It was probably in the early 90s…? Maybe?

Back in the 80′s, the only difference between the figs was the hair-if you wanted a girl, you just popped on the plastic pigtails. :)
