New Trailer Showcases DC Nation’s Upcoming Shorts, Including Amethyst and Black Lightning

We’re psyched about all of these DC shorts. Our only complaints step from the fact that we want them to be full-length shows, not short little things that will flit into our lives and then abandon us again. But we’ll take what we can get.

    I’m still amazed by that Shanghai Catwoman one a few weeks ago. It was stunningly good.

    1920′s Catwoman in Shanghai, Static Shock (and family?), Fish versions of Flash and Captain Cold, a warthog Green Lantern, no idea on the size-changing woman, more 1920s Batfamily with Batman, Catwoman and Bane, more fish & farm animals Justice League, no idea on the anime

    And no Super Best Friends Forever.  BOOOOOOO!

    1) Anime inspired Catwoman vs Batman
    2) I think that’s Black Lightning’s daughters, Thunder and Lightning
    3) Black Lightning beating up several cold-related villians and one lava one I don’t recognize

    4) I think that’s supposed to be Flash and Captain Cold?, then Green Lantern and Sinestro
    5) Don’t recognize the heroine, but the gorilla in the beret is almost certainly Monsieur Mallah. Maybe that’s Doom Patrol then?

    6) More Shanghai Catwoman (specifically Batman transforming,Catwoman parkouring, and Bane leaping)

    7) Shazam (as a pig for some reason?) clearly related to #4, must be some short where the JLA is all animals

    8) ???

    9) Oh, that’s definitely Amethyst. Who bears a striking resemblance to carton Starfire.

    Awww, sad they didn’t go with purple hair for Amethyst like in the first teaser clip (on Youtube watch?v=n3IcsLPHLno).  Ever since the 80′s I wondered why they didn’t make such an obvious change.

    Probably Doom Patrol.  It looks like Dr. Caulder/The Chief at the monitors, and Elasti-Girl leaping from the jet wearing a Challengers of the Unknown uniform.

    Is the New 52 Shade any good? I’ve mostly avoided the New 52 stuff so far (waiting for the Batman stuff to be collected in trades firstly) but he was one of the more interesting ones I heard about.
