Buffy Teaches Bella to Open Jars, Life Changes Ensue

Just when I was starting to think “Man, Bella is the easiest joke that BAMF Girls Club has at their disposal, I wish she wasn’t the punchline so often,” they throw this episode into the mix. One million points for Hermione’s “magic.”

And Bella got MORE character growth in those 5 minutes than she did in ALL the movies and books combined.

Just loved the intensity with which Lisbeth hacked the Cullen bank account to steal all their money!

The BAMF Girls has become one of my favourite new webshows. They do take the odd pot shots at Bella, but I feel that this move to developing her character has been planned for a while. In the last two episodes she hardly did anything, which is often a sign that the creators are trying to redevelop a character.

This series makes me ship so many things I never knew I would ship.

I need to go watch all of these now.

I think that for a short while BAMF was Hermione heavy, but they’re making an effort to develop the other girls… last time it was a Katniss/Michelle friendship combo, and this time it’s Bella. Hopefully nextime it will be Buffy-she’s had more scenes, but I don’t think I’ve seen really a Buffy episode.

I really liked how sweet (in their own ways) all the girls were to Bella this episode after so many episodes had them collectively rolling their eyes. Michelle sharing her jars, Lisbeth offering violence and hacking, Hermoine’s “magic”, the Michelle/Katniss peptalk…and Buffy’s jar opener…

I liked, “You can have the relish, or you can have the spaghetti sauce, but you can’t have both!” “But I LOVE both!” And yeah, I like the fact that the girls were all nice to their roomie post-breakup; it kind of bugs me when shows let the heroes be cruel to someone just because (s)he’s the butt-monkey. I can’t wait to see the rest!

(BTW, are you Team Relish or Team Spaghetti Sauce?)
