All The Changes You Didn’t Know Were In Star Wars


The Geek Twins’ Star Wars infographic records a lot of revisions made to George Lucas‘ masterpiece that we’d never heard of before, and taken in all, there’s a pretty clear delineating line between “reasonable revisions for the sake of repairing continuity errors” and “completely altering the mood or character of scenes.” I’m going to go out on a limb and say we probably all have roughly the same opinion of where it is.

    I consider the 1994 Digitally Remastered THX versions to be the definitive version. It’s not just because that is what I grew up with! The picture quality of previous VHS releases was shit – Dagobah is a formless purple background mostly, in ESB! Wish I had a widescreen edition of these to copy onto DVD. Unfortunately, my younger self was stupid and thought Fullscreen was better.
