Woman Was Called Misandrist After Concerns About a Male OB-GYN. Then the Clinic Collapsed and Investigators Came Calling: ‘He Was Super Creepy’

Seeing an OB-GYN requires trust. So when a patient feels uncomfortable with a doctor, that feeling can be difficult to ignore.
Some patients have reported uncomfortable experiences with male gynecologists. Others who were initially hesitant have even changed their minds after an appointment. But one woman says her concerns about a particular doctor never went away.
TikTok creator Stephanie Rose (@xoxostephrose) says people criticized her after she called a male OB-GYN “super creepy.” Months later, she learned something that made her return to TikTok with one message: “I was right.”
Then Came an Update She Didn’t Expect
Rose recalls telling viewers about the doctor a couple of months earlier after she was sent to see him. “He was super creepy,” she says, adding that she immediately felt something was wrong with him. She also questioned why a man would choose to become a gynecologist.
According to Rose, that opinion did not go over well. She claims people criticized her for being discriminatory and argued that a man should be allowed to work as an OB-GYN. She also pushed back against being characterized as a “man hater.”
Her latest video makes clear that Rose still feels strongly about the response she received. She argues that her concerns about the doctor were dismissed at the time. Now, she believes what allegedly happened afterward gave her a reason to revisit those concerns.
Rose alleges that the entire clinic eventually closed because staff members would no longer work for the doctor. She further claims that he left the country and is now under investigation.
Rose did not identify the doctor or clinic in the video. She also did not name the agency allegedly investigating him or explain what the investigation involves. Without those details, her claims about the clinic’s closure, the doctor leaving the country, and an investigation remain unverified.
For Rose, however, the alleged developments were enough to make her feel validated. “I told you, I’m so mad and so validated,” she tells viewers. “Every time I get that feeling, they prove me f*cking right.” “I was right,” she repeats several times throughout the video.
Viewers Had Their Own Stories to Share
The response was largely supportive, with several viewers encouraging Rose to trust her instincts. “Trust your gut girl, ALWAYS trust your gut!” one person commented. Another wrote, “Don’t trust people who have never met the guy. Trust your gut.”
Others discussed how easily those feelings can be dismissed. “We all have that feeling and get told we are mean or nuts,” one viewer wrote. Another told Rose, “Never let yourself be gaslit. That feeling you get is always right.”
Some commenters shared their own experiences with OB-GYNs. One person claimed, “My first OB, whom I demanded I be switched from because I hated and felt weird around him, was convicted of abusing his patients.”
Another viewer recalled her experience as a teenager, writing, “I saw a male gynaecologist as a teenager who didn’t allow my mom into the exam room and called her ‘controlling’… I don’t remember that appointment or exam.” Others took a broader position, with one person writing, “I don’t EVER see male doctors.” One viewer simply declared, “Gut is NEVER wrong.”
But feeling uncomfortable with a doctor is not proof that the doctor has committed misconduct. A patient can still take that discomfort seriously and decide they would rather see someone else.
Rose’s allegations about one particular provider also don’t establish anything about male OB-GYNs as a whole. Patients can have very different experiences regardless of a doctor’s gender, and being comfortable with the person providing intimate medical care remains an individual choice.
