Start Your Bets on Which of These New Westworld Additions Is a Secret Host

Season 2 of HBO’s sci-fi favorite Westworld has added a number of new cast members, including as Jonathan Tucker, Neil Jackson, and Katja Herbers. It was announced today that the show would be adding another three actors, all of whom are very familiar with genre films/shows. Considering the casualties of the first season, it’s not surprising that we’ll be seeing lots of new faces, but the additions of Gustaf Skarsgård (Vikings), Fares Fares (Rogue One), and Betty Gabriel (Get Out) are especially exciting.

Variety reports Skarsgård will play Karl Strand, “described as a white-collar guy comfortable in the field.” Fares, “will play Antoine Costa, a tech expert.” Finally, Gabriel “will be playing Maling, who is trying to restore order on the ground.” Skarsgård and Fares will be regulars, while Gabriel’s Maling will be a reoccurring role. Sounds like Westworld is still functioning, if not coping with some disorder and enthusiastic guests. The show’s first season did a great job of balancing the Westworld/company plots, and I’m looking forward to how season 2 will go deeper with different characters for us to fall in love with before they die.

It appears that all three will be either employees or customers of the amusement park … or will they? As Westworld viewers have seen, most people just aren’t who they say they are in this series. Also, we’ve seen in Gabriel’s amazing Get Out performance that the actress can pull off a creepy possession quite well. Wouldn’t that translate perfectly to a glitching host?
