When Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce began dating each other, fans instantly speculated that this was going to end up with the two getting married. And with each passing season that Kelce has been tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, it has furthered that speculation. But now, it is official: The two are getting married!

The news comes right after Swift announced the title for her next album, The Life of a Showgirl. There is no news yet if songs on the album are inspired by Kelce and their relationship but the album will be released on October 3.

Swift shared the news by writing “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married” in the caption. Now, those are the best paid English and gym teachers in the game but hey, it is a pretty apt description of the two of them. In the photographs, Swift shared a close up shot of her engagement ring, the two surrounded by flowers, and one of her and Kelce on a swing together.

Writer Sophie Vershbow pointed out that the engagement is sweet because Swift did take her time finding the right match for her when it comes to Kelce. “An intelligent woman dating many different men until she finds the right match instead of settling for a ring from the wrong partner. We love to see it.”

Somehow, a boy from Ohio convinced a girl from Pennsylvania to marry him and that is the true story here. But it is exciting to see how happy Swift is with Kelce and we wish the two the best!
