Mark Wahlberg Is Doing a Movie With Justin Bieber

Together At Last

So, Mark Wahlberg is a huge fan of Justin Bieber. He has said that “The world needs Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber is like the white Tupac. Compared to a lot of people.” (Exactly, Mark Wahlberg. Exactly.) So it should come as no surprise that the former white rapper/pinup has teamed with the Twitter-fueled teenybopper sensation to make a dramatic film together — wait, what?

First off, Mark Wahlberg has had a very successful movie career, having nearly seamlessly made the transition from The Funky Bunch to Calvin Klein model, to a few early movies roles including his game-changer, Boogie Nights. And since he’s the father of young girls, it’s no surprise that he knows who Justin Bieber is. But wow — did anyone really think that a movie would be the ultimate culmination of this?

According to an interview with Vulture, the movie will be:

More of a drama. It’s interesting, right? You want to know. They’ll probably announce it. They may announce it fairly soon … kind of like a reluctant mentor in an inner-city environment. You know, I don’t want to say.

Because when I think of inner-city environment, I definitely think of Justin Bieber. Guys, he might have to skip washing his hair for this movie. Can you even imagine?

Is Wahlberg just sad that the new Planet of the Apes movie is happening without him and needs a project like this one to distract himself? And is Bieber sad that he was killed off on CSI? Are we going to have to listen to this latter-day Canadian version of Donny Osmond try to do a Boston accent?

But will it be as dramatic as this?

I guess we can be grateful that an accomplished movie star is reaching out to Bieber to help him make a clean transition into an adult career. You know, instead of a life filled with meth and stripping. And — good heavens — head shaving.
