Viral video shows children clinging to man during ICE arrest in New Jersey. Now two people are under investigation
The footage is hard to watch, and the investigation only adds to the questions.

A video of children crying and clinging to a man as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrest him in New Jersey is drawing attention online. Now, two people who were present during the encounter are reportedly under investigation for allegedly interfering with the federal officers.
The footage shows agents attempting to take the handcuffed man away as children reach for him. Two young children are seen crying on the sidewalk as agents complete the arrest and drive away, while other people at the scene appear to intervene.
The incident took place outside a post office on Harrison Avenue in Harrison, New Jersey, according to NJ.com. The video has since spread widely on social media, drawing attention to the children’s distress and the confrontation between agents and people at the scene.
DHS says the man refused orders to leave his vehicle
The Department of Homeland Security identified the man as Jhon Maykel Correa-Sangucho, who it said is a Honduran national living in the U.S. illegally. According to DHS, he refused repeated instructions to leave the vehicle before he was handcuffed. ICE has identified a female passenger and a bystander as subjects of an investigation into alleged “obstruction and assault on officers.” Accounts from Correa-Sangucho and the two people under investigation were not available.
Harrison Mayor James A. Fife and the town council expressed concern about the children who witnessed the incident in a statement released by the mayor. According to him, officials asked the Harrison Public School District to identify affected students and provide counseling and emotional support where needed.
The Harrison video is one of several ICE arrests involving minors to draw wide attention this year. Two teenage U.S. citizens said ICE agents assaulted and detained them, and 16-year-old Arnoldo Bazan said federal agents put him in a chokehold while arresting his father. The investigation into the two people at the Harrison scene remains ongoing.
