‘I’m about to crash out’: Woman buys wallet at a thrift shop. Then she finds something seriously disturbing inside

Thrift shopping can be surprising in many ways. Sometimes, when you’re rummaging through a Goodwill bin, you end up stumbling across something genuinely valuable.
For instance, a Rolex watch or a Louis Vuitton bag. Other times, an auction in a rural area can give you the chance to score something like a Hermès, Chanel, or Cartier piece for much less than usual.
Other times, though, the surprise is not valuable at all.
In a recent TikTok video sharing what she found inside a thrifted wallet, one creator shows an example of a surprise that may be considered extremely unwelcome.
What Did She Find Inside The Thrifted Wallet?
In her clip, which got over 789,600 views, creator Jenny B (@jennb616) shows viewers the strange object.
“I’m about to crash out because of what I just found in this wallet,” Jenny says.
Jenny explains that she and her husband love to go antiquing. Over the weekend, they went shopping, and she bought what she thought was a cute wallet.
But when she opened it to put her things inside, she realized something was tucked in the back.
“There’s stuff,” she says. “There’s stuff in the back.”
Then she pulls out a small Ziploc bag. Inside it is a small pouch of what appears to be ash.
“I’m like, what is this?” Jenny says.
Then she reads the label.
“It says Uncle Joe Disney,” she says. “Is that Uncle Joe?”
Naturally, she has questions.
“What do I do?” Jenny asks. “How long has Uncle Joe been in the back of somebody’s wallet?”
At least four days with her, she points out.
In the caption, Jenny wrote, “I bought a thrift store wallet and immediately realized I may have found something that was never meant to be donated… The label said ‘Uncle Joe Disney’ and I genuinely don’t know what to think.”
What Could Have Happened Here?
The first possibility is that the pouch does not contain ashes at all, and someone was playing a joke on whoever ended up with the wallet.
After all, if you were traveling with a loved one’s ashes, it would be a little strange to label the bag with a Sharpie.
The other possibility is more sentimental. Though it’s prohibited, the original owner of the wallet may have brought a relative’s ashes to Disney. People do this either to “travel” with their loved ones or to scatter the ashes in a place that meant a lot to them.
If the second possibility is true, the original owner might’ve lost the bag either on her way to Disney or while there, and somehow it ended up in a thrift shop.
It’s unlikely that Jenny will know exactly what happened unless the original owner reaches out.
Commenters Were Entertained
In the comments, viewers had ideas.
“Obviously you take uncle Joe to Disney,” one commenter wrote. “And you leave it there before you become haunted.”
Another suggested Jenny simply accept her new family member.
“You’ve been adopted by Uncle Joe,” they wrote. “Please get him a cute lil box to put him in & welcome him to the family.”
Someone else wanted her to commit to the bit.
“‘What do I do?’ Commit to the bit, put Uncle Joe back in the wallet, and take him on adventures with you,” they wrote. “Take pictures of the two of you at different locations.”
