John Wick Chapter 3 has a release date: May 17, 2019! As Variety points out, it’s “the first title to land on the date,” so we’ll have to see what the competition ends up being – but based on the franchise’s successes so far, this should be another win for Lionsgate. Director Chad Stahelski, screenwriter Derek Kolstad, and star Keanu Reeves will all return. (via The Independent)

  • Jonathan Frakes let slip that Star Trek: Discovery will feature a certain type of episode. You can click through to CBR if you want the spoiler, or skip it if you want to save your surprise.
  • Ellen Pao, the former Reddit CEO and feminist activist who sued her venture capital employers for gender discrimination, has published an op-ed in The New York Times which asks, “how do we clear biases and power imbalances in tech so that everyone has a fair opportunity to succeed?”
  • Over at Entertainment Weekly, Christian Holub argues that Hellboy is “the hero of our time,” and now is the perfect time for a new Hellboy film.
  • Kiefer Sutherland, who appeared in the original Flatliners, will also have a role in the remake. (via /Film)
