[VIDEO] The House of El: A Supergirl Thanksgiving

Welcome to The House of El, a new video series where I’ll go beyond the Supergirl recap, delve a little into the DC Comics source material and other incarnations of the character, and hone in on a topic from that week’s episode of CBS’ Supergirl that I find interesting, annoying, or that really sticks in my craw. Wherever my “craw” is.

This week, rather than talk about Episode 5, “How Does She Do It?”, I thought I’d take a moment — now that we’ve had a solid month of Supergirl episodes and it’s Thanksgiving in the US — to talk about why I’m grateful for Supergirl! There really is so much to be thankful for, particularly when it comes to its female relationships.

And since this week is all about gratitude, I’d love to hear about what YOU love about Supergirl! Why are you grateful for this show? What is it getting right? Why do you watch?

Discuss in the comments below! I hope you enjoyed this week’s video (subscribe to The Mary Sue on YouTube), and I will see you next week!
