‘The Entire Party is Terrified of Donald Trump’: Rep. Yassamin Ansari on Pam Bondi’s Epstein Interview, Accuses Her of Weaponization and Cover-up

Silence speaks louder than words

On Friday, former U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi testified before the House Oversight Committee about her and the Justice Department’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case. For those unaware (though it’s very hard to be), this is the same case that the Justice Department and Bondi were accused of mishandling on the orders of Donald Trump and others.

Anyway, the testimony took place behind closed doors, and naturally, the public knows very little about what happened during it. However, Representative Yassamin Ansari has shared some insight into what went down. In a widely circulated video on social media, including X (formerly Twitter), Ansari stated that Bondi gave nothing away, defended herself and her department, and deflected blame onto others.

Representative Yassamin Ansari reveals what went on behind closed doors

As previously mentioned, a video is currently circulating on X, showing Representative Yassamin Ansari sharing some details about what occurred during Pam Bondi’s interview with the House Oversight Committee, where Bondi answered questions related to the Jeffrey Epstein case. Speaking on the issue, Ansari emphasized that the Republicans have been involved in one of the biggest cover-ups in American history regarding the Epstein case. She also pointed out that U.S. President Donald Trump has weaponized the Department of Justice to facilitate this cover-up. Additionally, she accused James Comer and Mike Johnson of enabling the entire cover-up.

Regarding Pam Bondi specifically, Ansari, referencing the two subpoenas issued against Bondi, states, “She is supposed to be here under oath today on video answering questions for the American people about her role and the direct hand that she had in this cover-up. Instead, she is deflecting. She is refusing to answer questions, and she continues to refuse to answer specific questions about the president of the United States.”

In other related news, Pam Bondi has been diagnosed with cancer

Just five days ago, several reputable publications, including the BBC, reported that the former U.S. Attorney General, Pam Bondi,  had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The BBC also noted that, according to its U.S. partner, CBS News, Bondi’s cancer diagnosis came very close to after President Donald Trump removed her from her position as Attorney General.

The BBC article further highlighted that Pam Bondi told CBS she was currently undergoing treatment and had surgery a few weeks prior. It also states that Bondi continues to work despite her diagnosis and will join the White House’s new advisory council on AI, the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, a role Trump assigned to her after she was ousted from her previous position.
