Texas Man Opens His Wingstop Bag and Sees the Box Swimming in Grease. He’s Stunned as the Wings Are Completely Dry, but the Worker Stands His Ground

Customers usually expect a takeaway mistake to have a straightforward solution. But sometimes the disagreement starts before anyone can agree on what the problem actually is.
Wingstop is known for its made-to-order chicken wings and signature sauces and dry rubs, making it a regular topic on TikTok. That is what happened after creator @behrgris shared a video complaining about a Wingstop order. He insisted his meal needed to be remade after opening the bag and finding grease pooling inside the box, while maintaining the chicken wings themselves were still dry.
The exchange quickly drew attention because the conversation shifted beyond the food. As viewers watched the employee respond to the complaint, many began questioning whether the order had actually been prepared incorrectly or whether the confrontation itself had become the bigger issue.
That’s when he stopped and looked inside
The video opens with the customer returning to the restaurant carrying his takeaway order. “I need my order remade,” he says. “It’s full of grease.” He opens the bag and repeatedly points to liquid collecting inside the container and dripping from the bottom of the box.
“Look at all this grease dripping out of my… box, dude,” he says. “This is disgusting.” The customer argues that he ordered Louisiana Rub wings, which he describes as a dry seasoning. While the bottom of the container is covered with liquid, he repeatedly points out that the chicken itself is “dry.”
“These are dry chicken wings, full of grease,” he says. “They’re dry.” The employee disagrees, telling him the liquid is part of the Louisiana Rub preparation rather than grease.
“That’s Louisiana Rub sauce,” the worker replies. The customer immediately pushes back, insisting, “Bro, this is not sauce. This is grease.”
He continues asking for the order to be remade as the disagreement continues. The video ends before showing whether the restaurant agreed to replace the meal.
Wingstop has also drawn attention on social media over other incidents, including one former employee who claimed she was told not to return to work after leaving for a family emergency, and another customer who alleged a racial slur appeared on her receipt and the restaurant’s order screen. Those posts also prompted widespread discussion online, with viewers weighing in on how restaurants respond to complaints and interactions with customers and staff.
Reaction to the video was mixed. Some viewers questioned how the wings could be dry despite grease filling the box, while others focused on the customer’s approach instead. The comments quickly split between the food complaint and the way it was handled.
Several viewers felt the employee should have resolved the issue more quickly instead of standing and discussing it. “Why is he looking so confused just remake it damn!!!” one person wrote. Another added, “bro could of remade it in amount of time he stared at the food.” One viewer joked, “Why is bro staring at the wings like they are magically gonna fix themselves?!?!”
Others questioned parts of the creator’s account. “NOPE. Wingstop doesn’t even have plastic bags. Stop lying,” one viewer claimed.
Others, however, criticised the customer’s approach, arguing that he escalated the situation by immediately swearing at staff. “You don’t need to cuss at them to get your point across. so disrespectful,” one commenter wrote.
Another said, “Even if your order was improperly made, still be professional and talk to people with respect.” One viewer summed up both sides of the discussion by writing, “My only issue is don’t go in so angry and cussing… I do understand how you feel.”
