In the least shocking news ever, 100% of MAGA Republicans are still all-in on Donald Trump

Water is wet, and Trump supporters rally behind President Donald Trump 100%. This is a statistic that Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was eager to share.

“There are just numbers that just jump off the screen at you, and this is one of those,” CNN correspondent Harry Enten said in a news segment. He reported on Donald Trump’s MAGA support base.

In a poll called “MAGA GOP View” of Trump, the president got a 100% rating. Enten added, “You don’t have to be a mathematical genius to know that you can’t go higher than 100%. He’s the 1972 Miami Dolphins.”

The reference to the Miami Dolphins is linked to their 17-0 winning season in 1972. But Leavitt referenced the CNN clip analysis to dispel the idea of a split in the MAGA movement. However, is there anything to disprove that those who criticize Trump have either left MAGA or do not identify with the MAGA movement? The data did not present anything that is not already obvious.

Indications of a MAGA split in media

Political commentator Dean Withers replied to Leavitt, “100% of Trump Supporters Support Trump.” Infowars presenter Owen Shroyer wrote, “And Kim Jung Un just received 99.8% of the votes for his election!” Right-wing commentator Tim Pool also said, “Do you support Donald Trump? If yes our next question is, Do you support Donald Trump?”

The irony is in the tweets. Two out of three of these commenters are conservative, far-right commentators. This wing of conservatives once rallied behind Trump, but they seem to have no more qualms with criticizing the president. Ironically, both Tim Pool and Owen Shroyer largely identified with the MAGA movement prior to the war in Iran.

Tim Pool of Timcast was notably added to Trump’s White House press pool. He once fought the press and defended Karoline Leavitt in favor of the Trump administration in 2025. Owen Shroyer from InfoWars even went to jail for joining the January 6th riot. He was sentenced to serve two months in prison.

Needless to say, Pool and Shroyer were not just MAGA—they were Trump media allies who amplified MAGA talking points. But since the Iran war, both Pool and Shroyer have been turning on the Trump administration. They are not the only media personalities to have turned either. Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Candace Owens have all been critical of Trump’s assault on Iran.

To say that there isn’t a split in MAGA would be false. Although Carlson and Kelly remain Trumpers, they clearly disapprove of the president’s decision to go to war. Owens has already left the movement and called Trump a “traitor” in her podcast.

But most telling of all is Director Joe Kent’s resignation from the National Counterterrorism Center. MAGA was eager to claim him as part of their fold, and he is a conservative through and through who supported Trump. Nevertheless, he resigned, as he had moral reservations about attacking Iran. He also confirmed that Iran posed no imminent threat to the United States. Given the security clearance level Kent held, it would be difficult to disprove his claim.

Can Trump get 100% approval from his current MAGA base? Absolutely, there are already MAGA followers who are beginning to justify the rising costs in fuel. But would it be accurate to say that there’s no split in the MAGA base? Given all the figures that have recently left the movement or raised opposition to the president, it’s disingenuous to say that MAGA is as solid as it used to be.
