Star Wars: Rebels Gets Premiere Date, New Short Depicts Sabine’s “Art Attack”

This is gonna be fun.

We first saw Sabine in the first seven minutes of Star Wars: Rebels, which were released earlier this month. Now she’s got her own short video all to herself, and I must say, I like what I see. A woman acting alone in spraypaint-covered Mandalorian armor to mess with a whole team of stormtroopers, all while mocking their accuracy— and passing the Bechdel test (again) with whoever’s on her communications link? YES PLEASE.

Better still, we now know when to expect the rest of the series to arrive: the one-hour movie, Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion will be available at WatchDisneyXD.com and on the Watch Disney XD app on September 29th. Then it’ll come to TV on Friday, October 3rd at 9pm across several Disney channels before the rest of the series debuts on Monday, October 13th at 9pm on Disney XD. Mark your calendars now, nerf herders!

Edwin is a white, teenage boy with short, dark hair wearing a grey pin-striped suit, a white buttondown with a wide collar, and a bowtie who's seated behind a desk with a serious expression. Charles stands beside him with his arms folded. He's a mixed-race white and Indian teenage boy with short, wavy dark hair wearing a maroon polo shirt, a gold chain, and black pants. He's smirking.
