[Update: It’s day two, so watch The Last Jedi panel above and cross your fingers/practice your Jedi mind tricks to get us that teaser footage we’re all hoping for. Below, you can watch replay of yesterday’s “40 Years of Star Wars panel”:]

[Original post from April 13, 2017:]

OK, there’s a little more to it than that. Orlando’s Star Wars Celebration kicks off today at 11AM EDT, beginning with a “40 Years of Star Wars” panel. That panel is a “very special tribute to the 40th anniversary of Star Wars will kick start Celebration Orlando in grand fashion. The panel, hosted by Warwick Davis, will feature Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and discussions with some of the saga’s brightest stars, highlighting the impact of the galaxy far, far away and the fandom that has propelled it for the last four decades. As is tradition, this marquee Celebration event will undoubtedly include many not-to-be-missed surprises.”

It’ll run for an hour and a half, finishing up at 12:30PM, with a solid list of panelists: Billy Dee Williams, Hayden Christensen, Peter Mayhew, Kathleen Kennedy, Mark Hamill, Ian McDiarmid, Anthony Daniels, and Dave Filoni. We’re looking forward to big news from those “not-to-be-missed surprises.”

Friday will also feature a hotly anticipated 11AM panel revolving around Star Wars: The Last Jedi. There’s a lot less info about this one, which only makes us more excited to see what surprises are in store: “Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson will appear on stage. There will be plenty of surprises and special guests on the panel to keep the excitement brewing and speculation spinning throughout the rest of the weekend.” It’ll be hard to compete with That Time BB-8 Rolled Onstage and Stupefied Everyone With Childlike Wonder, but we’d love to see them try—and we’ve got our fingers crossed for a Last Jedi trailer.

Those are just the biggest events happening on the livestream, but there’s plenty more going on that you’ll want to stick around for and leave on in the background while you’re “working” today. Here’s the full list of events that will be on the main stage, including Smooth Talkin’ With Billy Dee Williams from 1:30-2:15PM on Thursday and Mark Hamill’s Tribute to Carrie Fisher from 5:30-6:30PM on Friday. Enjoy!
