Special FX Featurette Delves Into The Making of Jessica Jones

Recommended Videos

I don’t know about you all, but behind-the-scenes featurettes and commentary are my jam. And given that Jessica Jones is pretty much everywhere lately (and with good reason), any little tidbit of news or info that gets revealed is something that I am going to glom onto wholeheartedly.

This time, we’ve got the team behind all of the special effects on Jessica Jones who have released a small featurette showcasing some of the ways in which they amplified the show. Shade FX also worked on Daredevil (for which they earned an Emmy nomination), and while they say that Jessica Jones relied less heavily on effects, those minor adjustments helped to make everything feel that much more grounded.

Check out the video below (with some spoilers for the show, potentially, if you haven’t finished your binge-watch yet):

What do you think of the way the show incorporated special effects? Frankly, there were times I even forgot the FX was there; that’s how subtle it was.
