So you didn’t know who Lewis Pullman’s dad is…
Talk about a father and son who lookalike.

I love Lewis Pullman a lot. He’s one of my favorite people to interview, I love when he shows up in a movie or television show, and he’s my generation’s version of Bill Pullman. Why? He has the exact same face.
Last name aside, it is kind of impossible for Lewis Pullman to separate himself from his father. Because, as I said before, they have the same face. And as someone who grew up in the 90s, a good Bill Pullman movie is one of my favorite things in the world. While You Were Sleeping is still one of the best romantic comedies every made!
Lewis Pullman’s career is a bit different. He became a fan favorite after his role as a bellhop in Bad Times at the El Royale but it was playing Bob (callsign BOB) Floyd in Top Gun: Maverick that had people recognizing him. Since, he’s continued to make great films and even nabbed an Emmy nomination for his role as Calvin in Lessons in Chemistry for Apple TV+. But now that he’s playing another Bob in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, people are even more aware of his work.
But it has led to many online realizing now that he’s Bill Pullman’s son. Sorry but do the rest of you not instantly think about Independence Day when looking at Lewis Pullman? They legitimately look like the most father and son to ever father and son. I do feel like this is a common occurrence with Lewis Pullman.
It baffles my mind because as I said, I’m a 90s kid. I grew up watching Bill Pullman movies so the minute I saw Lewis Pullman’s face, I knew something was up. But his last name really gave it away. For a lot of people online, they’re just now realizing it. One wrote “I actually feel so stupid that I just found out that Lewis Pullman is Bill Pullman’s son. Like he stole his entire face.”
Others (like myself) love this brand of nepotism because Lewis Pullman is talented, humble, and reminds us of all the things we loved about his father while bringing a new kind of energy to Hollywood.
Pullman did a new interview with GQ where he shared a bit of a lesson that he learned throughout his career and shared that he learned it from his father. “If there’s anything I’ve learned—and I learned this from my dad too—it’s that you hear often, This is really going to move the needle, or whatnot,” he said. “That can be a kind of dangerous thing to think if that’s something that you want and it doesn’t happen. I’ve heard that enough times and the needle remained stagnant.”
So if you were shocked that Lewis Pullman’s dad is the legend himself, know that I think it’s weird you didn’t figure it out when we’ve been gifted with the continuation of the Pullman bloodline in this way. There’s a reason Lessons in Chemistry broke me as much as it did and it was because Lewis Pullman reminded me of his dad!
