She Flew Frontier to Florida. After a Series of Delays, Her Plane Started Fogging
Kenzie (@morbuckzz) flew from Atlanta to Jacksonville, Florida, on Frontier Airlines. But after experiencing multiple delays and a series of unfortunate events, the woman from Florida says she will never fly with Frontier again.
“If I never appreciated my life before, I definitely appreciate it now,” Kenzie said on TikTok, treating the flight like a near-death experience. She continued, “I’m not ever flying Frontier again. I don’t give a [expletive] how cheap it is.” Although she often flew with the airline, this experience got to Kenzie’s nerves.
“I get to the gate first of all. I was already kind of late, so I was running to the gate,” Kenzie recalled. She said that Frontier gates were often at the far end of the airport, but she didn’t mind because the flights were cheap. When Kenzie got to Gate E41, someone announced a gate change.
“I’m thinking the gate change is still gonna be a [expletive] E. You know, they said the gate change is T16?” Kenzie stated, which essentially meant that she would have to run to the other side of Atlanta Airport. She continued, “This alone took 20 minutes for me to get from E to T.” When she and the other passengers got there, Kenzie alleged that none of the Frontier staffers were there.
“Everybody’s refreshing the Frontier page,” Kenzie said. They thought they missed their flight. But instead of going through with the initial schedule of 3:33 p.m., Kenzie alleged they started boarding after 4 p.m.
One delay after the other with Frontier
With the passengers boarded, Kenzie waited for the plane to take off. Then, after 45 minutes, Kenzie and the other passengers were still sitting on the plane, waiting for the flight to proceed. After the long wait, the captain allegedly announced, “Hey, we lost some people’s bags, so we’re trying to find those right now.”
Kenzie said the wait took another 45 minutes. Then the captain came on again, this time telling passengers the brakes of the plane got stuck. “I looked out the window and y’all, deadass, they’re trying to fix it,” Kenzie commented. Because of all the odd delays, Kenzie got nervous. She thought that perhaps the plane kept getting deferred because it was fated not to fly. Her fears got amplified when the airplane started fogging up from within.
A flight that looked like it was descending into heaven
“On top of all this, y’all know that little fog? That little condensation that be coming on the plane? I look in the aisle seat and said, no [expletive] way. It was so much [expletive] fog on that plane,” Kenzie said. Upon checking, the aisle seats were consumed by fog. It was so thick that the people in front couldn’t be seen.
“You couldn’t see the rest of the plane,” she emphasized. The woman behind her, who was asleep, woke up to the fog, and Kenzie said she looked like she had woken up in hell. Kenzie continued, “Mind you, the fog went on until we took off. We didn’t take off until another 45 minutes after that.”
Kenzie didn’t feel safe on the flight, but as they were about to take off, a pregnant woman in front of her pressed the assistance button. She asked for water, and the flight attendant told her to wait because they were trying to take off. All of a sudden, the woman got emotional, saying she really needed water.
“Oh no, she’s going to stress herself out into labor,” Kenzie said. The flight attendant acquiesced, and fortunately, no babies were born during the flight. Kenzie, amidst her panic, tried treating herself to three shots of alcohol. But when she tried ordering, the captain announced, “All services will not be on this flight.” She didn’t have alcohol, so she tried to play her music.
But to top all the tragedies off, Kenzie’s device died, and she was unable to play music on her way home. At least she didn’t come out of her plane ride with her belongings steeped in tea like this United Airlines passenger.
