Surprising Nobody, Rey is Winning Rotten Tomatoes’ New Favorite Star Wars Character Poll

Recommended Videos

Rotten Tomatoes really wants to know who’s your favorite new Star Wars character. They’ve set up a poll to find out, and you’ll never guess who’s winning. Actually, I think you can, because you read the headline which is why you’re here but aaaanyway.

Rey’s currently in the lead with 46,132 votes (41%). Just as cool is Finn in second place with 21,871 votes (19%). So the top two leaders for favorite new Star Wars characters are a woman and a person of color. This is the 2016 I want to live in.

Because I know you’re wondering: BB-8 is tied for fourth with Poe at 11,252 votes (10%) and 11,208 votes (10%) respectively. But who’s in third, then? Kylo Ren with 16,006 votes (14%). That kind of figures.

These figures are accurate as of this writing, and to be honest, I hope Rey keeps her nearly insurmountable lead. Oh, and do yourself a favor and follow the first rule of the internet on this one: don’t read the comments below the poll.

Yeesh.
