Here we are, back at it again with a brand new edition of Pull Wisely! Sure, this one’s just a little bit late, but better late than never, right? Here’s the lastest picks for the week of April 20th, 2016, from your fearless editors: Teresa Jusino, Maddy Myers, and Jessica Lachenal. We’ve got a lot of neat picks in there, and this week seems to have weighed out to be a little bit cape comic heavy. I’m not saying that’s a problem, not one bit! Just giving you a heads up, friend.

This week, the capes we’ve got are: Totally Awesome Hulk #5Captain America: Sam Wilson Vol. 1All-New All-Different Avengers Vol. 1, and Captain Marvel. Not sure if Howard the Duck counts as a cape, but since he’s partnered up in a crossover with Squirrel Girl for Howard the Duck #6, I’ll allow it. Of special note is Lumberjanes‘ anniversary issue: Lumberjanes #25. It’s extra large and has kittens with magical powers. Seriously, why wouldn’t you want to read that?

Jessica Lachenal is a writer who doesn’t talk about herself a lot, so she isn’t quite sure how biographical info panels should work. But here we go anyway. She's the Weekend Editor for The Mary Sue, a Contributing Writer for The Bold Italic (thebolditalic.com), and a Staff Writer for Spinning Platters (spinningplatters.com). She's also been featured in Model View Culture and Frontiers LA magazine, and on Autostraddle. She hopes this has been as awkward for you as it has been for her.
