Chris Pratt Returning For More Jurassic World After Movie’s Record-Setting Opening Weekend

Recommended Videos

Whether you enjoyed Jurassic World or not, there are going to be sequels, and Chris Pratt is signed on to grace the screen once again. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Pratt talked about how he’s in for another Jurassic World movie, saying, “They have me for I think 38 movies or something.”

Given the movie’s indomitable $511 million international box office take, and its new laudable record of being the first movie to break half a million in its opening weekend, sequels just seem inevitable. But you can only rebuild Jurassic Park so many times until someone finally says, “Maybe we should stop cloning dinosaurs.”

To break that $511 million down: $204.6 million came from domestic sales, a little less than $3 million short of dethroning The Avengers. $307.2 million came from international sales, about $7 million short of the international box office record currently held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, which sits at $314 million.
