‘I Would Ask for a Refund’: Virginia Woman Orders Coach Purse. Then She Sees the Sticker on the Outside—and Gets Scared To Open It

Receiving a package you’ve been eagerly waiting for should be exciting. After the days have ticked by, the rush of anticipation should be enough to tear it open to get your hands on the item. But when this woman’s Coach bag from Poshmark arrived, the packaging alone made her think twice before proceeding.
What’s Wrong With This Poshmark Package?
The video’s text overlay perfectly sums up fellow Virginia-based Poshmark seller Lesly’s (@ososweetdreams) thoughts about her package: “Scared to open my Coach mail.”
Immediately, the first of many red flags: a green ‘Jesus Loves You’ sticker plastered below the barcode. “I finally got my package, right? Cute sticker ‘Jesus Loves You,’” she remarks sarcastically.
As she tilts the package around, she unveils a Pluto and the same yellow religious sticker. However, the content creator flips the camera to reveal two Trump 2024 stickers.
“Holy crap. Why?” she says. Then, she zooms out to see that same religious sticker in pink and a Mickey Mouse sticker.
To add insult to injury, the package “Took 11 days for it to ship too.”
Viewers Voiced Their Criticism
Lesly’s video garnered over 187,000 views, and the comments section didn’t hold back, expressing unanimous disapproval.
“That’s so unprofessional of the seller… i’m so sorry girl,” one viewer commented.
Another remarked, “That’s bold of the seller. The ONLY sticker thats acceptable to put on a package is a ‘handle with care’ or ‘fragile’ sticker.”
Meanwhile, others would’ve escalated the situation in Lesley’s position.
“I would ask for a refund and [send] it back,” one commenter shared.
“See the thing about me is, I would leave a SCATHING review over this,” a second stated.
“I would straight give them 1 star, that’s wild,” a third revealed.
Did She Ever Receive Her Coach Purse?
Once you think it didn’t get any worse, it does.
“I should not be receiving political stickers on my package,” Lesly said in a follow-up video. “I ordered this on June 1st. It said it shipped on June 9th, but there was no tracking number.”
Next, she picked up a pair of scissors to cut a hole in the material and peeled the makeshift sleeves to unearth the package within a package, this time, without stickers.
Then, she severed the second package apart to reveal a magenta pouch with ‘Thank You’ in black cursive font and two items wrapped in tissue paper.
“I only ordered one thing,” the content creator said, taking out the pouch. “OK, I guess this is a freebie.”
When Lesly pulled open the pouch zipper, it contained three items: a Koneuk Vitamin C mask, a black silicone bracelet with a Bible verse in white font, and a headband. Afterward, she reached for one of the products in tissue paper and unwrapped it to show a Coach product.
“This isn’t what I ordered,” the content creator said, ripping the plastic wrap to show a white and strawberry-patterned Coach wallet. “I really hope the third package is what I ordered.”
Finally, it is the moment of truth.
“This is what I came here for,” Lesly said, uncovering the last package. Indeed, it was a Coach product, but not the correct one.
“It wasn’t even what I ordered,” she said, referring to the mini pink loop bag. “What?”
Before wrapping up, she unveiled the vintage lavender Coach Kisslock coin purse she ordered through a seller named Deirdre. According to the final update, the content creator got a refund.
Does Poshmark Have A Policy About Packaging?
If you’re a seller on social e-commerce platforms, your package can reflect you and your business’s values and opinions. Poshmark’s website encourages sellers to add a personal flare to their packages in the form of stamps, business cards, thank-you cards, and, of course, stickers.
While it doesn’t state if political or religious stickers are permitted, the platform allows Poshers to sell these types of products, as long as it doesn’t break their listed rules of what’s considered offensive or inappropriate. Thus, their guidelines highlight to “consider how your content, conduct, or behavior may be received by an audience with mixed sensibilities.”
Regardless if you receive something that’s unsolicited or an incorrect order, it can be reported to Poshmark.
