Perez Hilton’s Injuries Are Worse Than Previously Known. His Brother-In-Law Reveals He Suffered Multiple Broken Bones

Perez Hilton suffered multiple broken bones after falling several times during the mental health crisis that led to his hospitalization earlier this month, according to his brother-in-law, Tom. Hilton is still receiving treatment for his physical injuries, which also include cuts.

Tom shared the update on the latest episode of The Perez Hilton Podcast with Chris Booker. He said Hilton is currently lucid and communicating with his family, but has not been allowed to see his children, who are being cared for by his mother under temporary legal guardianship.

The new details offer a better picture of Hilton’s condition following the incident. Police previously said Hilton received treatment for an overdose after a livestream in which he appeared to harm himself.

According to Tom, Hilton sustained numerous broken bones after falling multiple times that night. He did not specify which bones were broken or provide further details about the severity of the injuries, but said Hilton remains under medical care.

Tom and Booker also discussed whether sepsis could have contributed to Hilton’s mental health crisis. Hilton suffered from sepsis earlier this year, and they raised the possibility of sepsis related psychosis playing a role in what happened, although they acknowledged that the theory remains speculation.

There has been no confirmation that sepsis or its complications caused or contributed to Hilton’s mental health crisis. Tom’s comments about Hilton’s condition therefore provide the latest update from his family without establishing a cause for the incident.

Hilton does not have a recovery timeline yet

The Baker Act that had allowed Hilton to remain hospitalized has expired, according to Tom. He said Hilton will be transferred to another medical facility to continue receiving treatment for his mental health.

There is currently no timeline for when Hilton will complete treatment or return to his usual public activities. Tom indicated that Hilton’s recovery will take as long as necessary rather than following a set schedule.

‘However long that takes … is however long that takes,’ Tom said, adding that he does not expect Hilton to ‘pop up in a few days.’

For now, Hilton remains in treatment while he recovers from his physical injuries and continues receiving mental health care.
