Pennsylvania DoorDash driver steals someone’s Wingstop order, ignores their text, then says they’re going ‘mad hard’ for no reason

The audacity is surprising.

Delivery drivers taking customer food hostage has become an all-too-frequent subgenre of gig-economy drama. But you rarely see someone owning up to the theft openly, let alone flipping the script on the customer for being angry about it.

Yet, for Pennsylvania creator Ebony (@only1ebonyy), pinching another person’s meal was just casual content material. In a TikTok storytime sitting at over 92,000 views, Ebony slicked back her hair while nonchalantly admitting to swiping a customer’s DoorDash order.

Surprisingly, the casual admission to stealing wasn’t the end of it. She also went on to express disbelief that the victim actually tracked her down, claiming that their reaction was unreasonable.

Ebony admitted to stealing an order from a customer in her neighborhood

Ebony kicked off her video by admitting that she stole a customer’s DoorDash order. But when she realized that DoorDash displays the delivery driver’s profile photo and vehicle details to the customer, it reportedly gave her a fleeting spike of anxiety. She explained that it was especially because she and the customer reportedly happened to live in the same neighborhood.

However, she soon rationalized the theft by convincing herself that customers rarely catch sight of their couriers during drop-offs anyway. “Every time I order DoorDash or Uber Eats, I never see the person that picks up my food and delivers my food to me in person,” she said.

“So I was just thinking I got nothing to worry about… Let me just, you know, relax, eat my Wingstop, and go to bed,” Ebony thought to herself. Without another thought, she reportedly enjoyed the stolen feast and called it a night. But the following morning brought a reality check right to her inbox.

Ebony reportedly woke up to an unfamiliar message, reading: “Hello, good morning. Um, do you work for DoorDash?” This threw Ebony for a loop since delivery apps typically mask personal phone numbers using out-of-state proxy lines to safeguard courier privacy.

However, the customer had apparently bypassed the proxy to dig up her actual contact info. But even then, Ebony left the message on read instead of owning up to what she had done.

Ebony believed the customer went too far just for some Wingstop

Ebony’s ghosting allegedly provoked a more aggressive response from the angry customer. She claimed that the customer began calling her phone back-to-back, repeatedly interrupting her video recording session. In turn, she simply blocked the number.

“Girl, at this point, just tell DoorDash that you did not receive your order and somebody took your order, or whatever the case may be, so they can just compensate you. Like, you’re going too mad hard for what? For some Wingstop?” she ranted.

While Ebony expected her viewers to laugh off the customer’s persistence, she didn’t quite get that response from her viewers. People in her comment section called out the sheer entitlement of stealing someone’s meal and then complaining when they hold you accountable.

‘It definitely is that serious,” one user bluntly pointed out. Another viewer echoed the frustration, writing, “You’re playing with her money and food,” while one declared the video was the ultimate reason to swear off delivery services like DoorDash for good. “You literally took food out of someone else’s mouth,” they said.
