It’s almost here! Season 2 of Outlander is very nearly upon us at this point, and the gracious folks over at Starz have decided to give us even more of a sneak peek into what Claire and Jamie are up to now that they’ve left the dreary hills of Scotland for the much more vibrant city life in Paris. Fans of the book series on which the TV show is based know that much of season 2 will follow the second book, Dragonfly in Amber–which means new additions to the cast as well as some familiar faces (but all we really care about are Claire and Jamie at this point, right? Or just listening to Jamie talk? I can’t be alone in that).
Check out the video below which details some of the filming locations used for Paris (hint: none of them are Paris) and some close-up looks at the gorgeous dresses Caitriona Balfe gets to wear in season 2. I would like at least two of those cloaks with hoods, please.
Tom and Lorenzo also posted a gallery of these amazing costumes created by costume designer Terry Dresbach–and although they’re not entirely accurate for the historical period, they pay just enough tribute to the fashion and splendor of the era. (“Costume porn” is right.)
Outlander season 2 premieres on Starz April 9. Are ye ready, sassenachs?
