Once Upon a Time in Conversation: Season 6, Episode 5, “Street Rats”

Welcome back to our weekly discussion thread for ABC’s Once Upon a Time! If you haven’t gotten around to watching last night’s episode, be warned: spoilers are within.

In “Street Rats”, we finally learned more about Aladdin’s quest to locate the Diamond in the Rough–in this version, it’s actually a weapon to stop the evil vizier Jafar–and it turns out, he’s basically Agrabah’s version of a Savior. Meanwhile, back in Storybrooke, Princess Jasmine reveals to Emma that she’s searching for Aladdin now. Emma comes to the realization that if Aladdin is alive, the whole prophecy that says all Saviors must die may not be that accurate after all. At the end of the day, she inherits Aladdin’s magic shears–but when she asks Hook to get rid of them, the pirate decides to hide them away. So much for “no more secrets.”
