It’s really on those two women!

Oklahoma Woman Walks into T.J. Maxx Restroom and Sees a Woman Washing an Elderly Woman’s Underwear. Then She Tries to Go in: ‘Poop All in the Floor’

Public restrooms are a known gamble. But they usually require nothing more than a quick hover or a desperate search for paper towels. Yet for California creator Tonya (@gettingmylifebackat42), entering the T.J. Maxx restroom in Ardmore, Oklahoma, was a biohazard nightmare.

In an unfiltered TikTok video that has clocked in nearly 60,000 views, Tonya detailed a deeply upsetting experience at T.J. Maxx that left her grossed out. What she expected to be a quick break instead turned into a public service announcement on common courtesy.

She comments on the lack of accountability some shoppers bring into communal public facilities. But Tonya’s sharp response proved that while a physical accident is entirely forgivable, leaving a mess behind for the next customer is unacceptable.

Tonya stepped into the T.J. Maxx restroom to find one stall OOO and the other already engaged

Tonya was running basic errands on a recent afternoon inside her local T.J. Maxx in Oklahoma. Hit by a sudden, non-negotiable physical urgency, she rushed toward the back of the facility to access the public stalls. “I had to go pee, guess what? When them flood gates open, Niagara Falls happens,” Tonya explained bluntly, setting a very clear scene for her digital audience.

However, entering the restroom immediately compounded her panic. She discovered that one of the store’s two available restrooms was completely out of order. Stepping through the remaining open stall, she walked straight into a highly unusual scene with three women inside.

Tonya soon understood that an elderly woman has a restroom accident had had pooped herself. She saw one of the younger women on the scene using the public handwashing sink to wash out a soiled pair of undergarments.

“Them panties are trash and you know it as well as I do. You poop in your panties, they go in the trash. That’s the rule,” Tonya remarked. She called out the absurdity of trying to salvage a compromised underwear in a public commercial basin.

One woman issued a frantic warning to Tonya before she stepped into the T.J. Maxx restroom stall

As the women stood around the sink casually giggling, a frantic blonde Woman rushed out of the stall. As Tonya walked past her to use the stall, the blonde woman intercepted her.

“She’s like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.’ She can’t even talk, she’s so nervous,” Tonya recounted. The woman then simply urged Tonya to “be careful,” but the warning came just a second too late.

Pivoting past her, Tonya cast her eyes straight down to the floor tiles inside the stall. She then allegedly discovered a massive layer of feces covering the entire floor. Apparently, the elderly woman’s companions had left the waste completely exposed on the floor.

Tonya called out the elderly woman’s companions for lacking basic human decency

Tonya explicitly clarified in her car debrief that she holds no personal malice toward the senior citizen on the scene. Drawing on her own extensive personal background caring for her late mother, father, and grandmother, she emphasized that medical accidents happen and are completely beyond a senior’s control.

“This ain’t on her. This ain’t on the elderly lady, okay? God bless her soul,” Tonya stated firmly. Instead, the target of her rage were the two able-bodied companions managing her care. Tonya fiercely slammed the pair for their lack of human decency. She pointed out that they were obligated to clean up after the elderly woman and immediately alert a store associate to grab the industrial bleach.

Why are restroom accidents hidden instead of reported?

Many consumers assume that a public facility mess is strictly a maintenance issue. But leaving a biohazard hidden behind a closed door introduces severe community health risks. According to retail sanitation guidelines, commercial facilities require immediate chemical treatment with high-grade bleach to neutralize bacteria following an incident.

When caregivers choose to quietly slip away from a public mess rather than notifying floor management, they effectively force the next unsuspecting customer into an unsafe environment. People do this either out of shame or to evade responsibility. But Tonya closed out her high-volume viral update by warning families to step up their care standards. Because leaving an unsuspecting stranger to deal with your mess is beyond unacceptable.
