Remember Lupin the Third? It’s a classic crime anime that’s at times hilarious and heavy. It’s got a great old style to it that is uniquely Lupin, and a hell of an intro theme. They even had a spinoff, The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, that had plenty of nudity and strong feminist overtones. Well, now Lupin the Third is coming back this October to steal your heart (and make you laugh while doing it).
Anyone else have strong memories of staying up and watching Lupin the Third on Adult Swim? It was probably one of my favorite animes way back when, even though it was dubbed in English (I know, I know). It was just a lot of fun, and I’d strongly recommend checking it out.
This run has 24 episodes that will premiere weekly starting October 1st in Japan. Though if you live in Italy, apparently you can start checking it out when it premieres on Sunday, August 30th on Italia 1. Do note, though, that it’ll have Italian dubbing if you do. So, crew.
