Is August ending already? While back-to-school season can be tough, Netflix has got your back this month with some awesome new additions to help make that transition a little bit easier. On TV series, we’re getting a new season of Penny Dreadful and Luther, as well as season 1 of Supergirl and, at last, Luke Cage. If these shows have been on your radar but you haven’t gotten around to it, September is a great time to start.

On the movie front, there’s a lot to look forward to like the amazing witchy Practical Magic, the tribute that is Raiders!: The Story of the Greatest Fan Film Ever Made, Disney’s Zootopia, and the heartbreaking Netflix original documentary Audrie and Daisy.

Summer ending also means saying goodbye, whether it’s to a summer camp friend, a fling, or The Emperor’s New Groove, Lilo & Stitch, and The Color Purple (if you’re in NYC, you can still head over to Broadway where Jennifer Holliday just joined the cast). Still, we’re definitely gaining more than we’re losing. Here’s what to keep an eye out for.
