‘…I Will Make This Lady Famous’: Mom of Pennsylvania Student Enraged After Daughter Suffers from Alleged Physical Assault
Her daughter was injured, then allegedly prevented from contacting emergency services.

Tori Branum (@toribranumga), a mother from Georgia, alleged online that her daughter was physically assaulted by her boyfriend. She also believes her daughter was prevented from seeking medical attention.
“I woke up at 3 a.m. having an anxiety attack. And it’s by the grace of God that I did not have a car to drive to Pennsylvania,” the Marine veteran told TikTok. Her unnamed daughter, a national championship cheerleader with a full-ride scholarship, had just moved to Pennsylvania for college three weeks ago. Not even a month into moving, Branum alleged her daughter’s boyfriend had attacked her in a drunken rage.
“I’m not gonna name her name, and I’m not gonna name their name yet. ‘Cause I’m praying that the DA and the legal system does what they need to do,” Branum expressed. The mother retold her daughter’s story, saying her daughter and boyfriend were in a car ride with friends. While drunk, the boyfriend allegedly punched Branum’s daughter in the mouth.
Allegedly assaulted and denied care
“Her tooth goes through her lip. He sticks his finger in the hole and proceeds to bash her head into the window of the car,” Branum alleged. The mother said her daughter begged his friends to let her out of the car, but they allegedly refused. Her daughter was allegedly stuck in the car, unable to flee to safety.
“They get to his house. His mother makes her change out of her bloody clothes—essentially concealing the evidence,” Branum stated. She also claimed her daughter’s phone was taken by her boyfriend’s mother, preventing her from calling her dad or emergency services. Branum also claimed the boyfriend’s mother did not help her daughter seek medical treatment after being physically assaulted.
Branum said her husband, a combat veteran, hurriedly drove to the gas station, where his daughter was. She said he oversped and was pulled over twice as he rushed to save his child. “It’s by the grace of God that the state troopers followed him to the gas station and that they were able to make an arrest of the kid,” Branum claimed.
A brewing legal battle over domestic violence
Nevertheless, Branum had a few comments against the mother of her daughter’s boyfriend. “The mother withheld medical care for my child? Held my child hostage in the house? And it’s by the grace of God I cannot drive right now. But I’m gonna tell you, lady. I don’t know if you follow on page. I don’t know if you know who I am, but you’ve messed with the wrong family.” Branum has also threatened legal action against the mother of her daughter’s boyfriend, saying she will exhaust every possible avenue to make the woman’s life a “legal living hell.”
Branum says that her children have never gotten in trouble. As a parent, she says her children were barely spanked, making the violent experience all the more traumatic for her family. To help with her daughter’s legal fees, her family has organized a GoFundMe.
“All I’m gonna say is, I hope the legal system works the way that it needs to, because if not, I will make this lady famous. And she will never have another normal day outside her home,” Branum said. But even those who get away from their allegedly abusive partners aren’t automatically safe, either, as this woman from Wyoming shared.
